About our Coffee Enthusiast Experience
Rated as 'Excellent' by previous attendees, our Coffee Enthusiast Experience is a fun, hands-on course created for coffee lovers of all levels.
During this 3-hour session (10am to 1pm), you'll:
- Discover the origins of our coffee: How and where speciality coffee is grown and processed.
- Develop your tasting skills: How to use the professional cupping technique to taste the differences between regional coffees and across various roast-profiles.
- Explore popular brewing methods: How taste varies with different ratios, recipes and brewing methods including V60, AeroPress, and espresso.
We'll also take you on a tour of our Oxford Roastery, explore the different coffees we offer and how we source them. All attendees will receive complimentary coffee and pastries on arrival, plus a bag of our speciality coffee to take home.
What you'll gain from your Coffee Enthusiast Experience:
- From farm to cup. Trace your coffee back to its origins, understanding where beans come from and how they're grown and processed.
- Taste the world. Recognise the distinct flavour profiles of different regions – from bright, fruity Ethiopian beans to rich, chocolatey Brazilian roasts.
- The art of roasting. Discover how different roast profiles unlock completely different flavours from the same bean.
- Brewing mastery. Master different brewing techniques to our exacting café standards and experience how each method transforms your cup.
- A new appreciation of speciality coffee. Develop a genuine understanding of what makes speciality coffee so remarkably complex and rewarding.
For the best experience for all attendees, we have a minimum age policy of 16 for bookings (accompanied by an adult or with their permission) and we are unable to accommodate pets.

Meet Your Trainer
We’re thrilled to have Amy as our trainer! And her credentials don’t come any higher! Not only is she a highly experienced speciality coffee barista and the manager of our flagship café on Oxford High Street, she also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a BASc in Psychology, and is a trained primary school teacher - phew! But to us, she’s our coffee alchemist! ❤️

Cancellation & Refunds
We understand that your plans can change, and we strive to be as accommodating as possible. However, due to the limited availability of our coffee courses and the need to resell places should you cancel or reschedule, we have the following cancellation policy in place. By booking one of our courses, you are agreeing to the terms below.
More than 14 days before the course date
Cancellations will be eligible for a full refund. If you wish to reschedule for an alternative course date, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Less than 14 days before the course date
Cancellations are non-refundable. In exceptional circumstances, we will offer you a rescheduled date if available. If you provide no notification and do not attend on the day of the course, you are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
If we are unable to provide you with a quality experience
It's possible that, due to unforeseen or exceptional circumstances, we may cancel an event. Examples of these circumstances include, but are not limited to, trainer illness, flooding, and malfunction or loss of utilities (electricity/water/heating/plumbing). We will provide you with as much notice as possible if a cancellation is unavoidable. We will subsequently offer you one of the following options: 1) a full refund 2) a re-booking to another date 3) an eGift voucher to the value of your course booking. However, we will not accept liability for any additional costs you have incurred as a result of your booking including any travel or accommodation expenses.
